Well, I got something very special in the mail.

A brand new tablet!!

My Dad got it for me and it just now came in.

Problem: It's gonna take me a while to 'break it in'.

I have the sensitivity set the same way as the last one, but it still needs time for some use, so don't expect anything special for a while. 83

Nevertheless, I owe my Dad a BIG thank you for this one!!

And thank YOU everyone else for not bugging me about the Rayman fanfiction.

Turns out, it might be a little later than I expected, especially since I'm still having fun with my new Pokemon game. 8P

Anyways...I'm still without a proper tablet.

I THINK my Dad is getting me one. I don't know.

If he does, I SO have to draw him something. Dad's always been so awesome to me, especially since I moved out a year ago.

That's right...the 21st was my one year anniversary of when I moved out of the house and into =SynDuo's home.

AND I'M STILL F*KING UNEMPLOYED!! DX

It sucks looking for a job in this town...I guess I just need to look harder.

Well...not much has been going on really. I normally prefer sketching my work in photoshop unless I'm working on something new or something that needs a lot of detail in the sketching process. Besides the revamp of Evodon and Evon, I haven't drawn diddly squat.

I should probably update my journal layout once I get a new tablet...wanna throw ideas for a theme or anything? I'll see what I can do.

And as for the fanfiction...DO NOT expect it to come out on the 1st. I only said it was coming out in July. I didn't say when.

So NYEHHH!!!

I think that's all I got to say at the moment....*goes back to ACIII on Neopets*

Well....I'm pretty much retiring my 5 year old tablet. The little bastard just can't go on much longer. I can still use it as my mouse, but it's pretty much useless in the drawing department.

Chances are, you won't be seeing any digital works from me for a few months. I'm dirt broke and still without a job, so getting a new one is out of the question for the time being, unless I miraculously get a new one as a gift.

I'm very impressed with how long this thing has lasted. It's just a cheap-o $50 tablet that most would be all WTF about; the pen's been dropped countless times; sat on and stepped on a few times, and even the tip is chipped.

There are patches of scuff marks all over the pad itself from repeated use on those spots, so drawing within those areas is useless. It's like trying to draw on it while there's a coat of sticky, dried up juice on the surface.

I'm looking into a new one, but it costs about $100. Again, I'm dirt broke.

So...yeah...

On the bright side, this means I might end up writing a lot more. For all you know, I could get all of volume 2 of the Human Flaws series up in a single day when July comes around!! (Don't get yer hopes up too high. You know I'm lazy)

I will occasionally sketch things by hand, but I don't have the proper equipment to finish anything by hand. Sorry.

Now, in other news, I'm attempting to work on my writing again, so expect a new chapter of Human Flaws later this week!!

Also, I'm working on large reference sheets of my characters. I will be making Polls later, listing names of characters many of you don't know, or don't remember. Those polls will determine which character I show all of you next.

I'm really trying to focus more on originals, so don't expect too much fanart for a while.

And if you watch me ONLY for the fanart, you suck!

Sorry I haven’t made a journal for a while…or made decent updates for a while in terms of my work that ISN’T an art trade (I just had to get those out of my way. I got one more to go).

I’ve been playing Disgaea like crazy for a while now…I now remember why I stopped playing it about a week after I started. It’s SO addicting! DX

That’s what’s been keeping me from my fan fiction work and proper Rayman art. Or anything else. Even if my Tablet decides to retire, I could at LEAST get some sketches done, but no. This addicting RPG keeps calling my name.

“Luckster!! Luckster!! Come back and play!! If you play Episode 5, Stage 3 a few more times, you’ll level Laharl up to 60 and teach one your Mages the Omega Star spell!!”

Ugh…it’s bad enough I take NOTES on the freakin game!!

Anyways…I’m gonna try to take a break from the game for a while and do some artwork for once. And update the fan fiction.


Rayman: Human Flaws
I hope to get quite a few chapters done by the first week of June. I wanna continue on to the next volume!

Some of the content HAS changed in the Human Flaws series…and one volume has dropped the series entirely. I’m thinking of making two of the volumes ‘side stories’ as well, which will be released at random. The ‘side stories’ will tell readers WHEN it takes place, so keep your eyes out for those.

And stop asking about the comic pages or story pages. I explained that I’m just not cut out for all that without a proper desk for the illustrations. It won’t be happening again anytime soon guys.

However…I will occasionally comic out parts that I like!! They’re totally random, however.


Art stuff
And many of you have noticed my calendars have stopped…well…it started off as “Damnit…I missed the deadline” then it turned into “Eh…I’ll just try again next year.”

I’m gonna make calendar images in advance for next year, rather than working on a tight schedule. Sorry to all of you who looked forward to some of the themes.

I’ve been working on designs for original characters (And fan characters who have evolved into originals with a bit of tweaking) and I plan to post a few of them in the near future. I just need a little more time.

In terms of Rayman Fanart…well…I won’t spoil it. Some of you will like it, some won’t. You’ll just have to wait and see. I’ll try to tone down on the Wade art….

Other stuff

Not much more can be said on what I’m up to.

Just follow the basic rules about me and my work: I’ll get to it when I get to it. If I’m urged to do something, I lose interest. So just be patient with me.
